Allow me to tell you a little more...

Myrtle’s Home Furnishings began in June 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. While planting seeds, watching them grow into both flowers and vegetables the idea started to create our family business. 

Using experience gained whilst working in the furniture industry for many years out on the road, for a wholesale company whose products were sourced and inspired from around the world, to working as an Area Manager for a British Manufacturer, and successfully managing an established retail outlet.

Why the name Myrtle’s? The name derives from the Myrtle flower.  An unusual and rare flower that comes in many varieties and colours with a meaning of Love, beauty and loyalty. 

All three match our business perfectly - Love what we do, beauty in our products and loyalty from our customers who without neither would function, like the Myrtle flower all three need each other to thrive- love to flourish, beauty once it has the love and the loyalty to bloom every year as its reward.

The Myrtle flower has also been the flower of choice for royal brides since the 1850s. All gave us the inspiration and impetus to be brave and go ahead with the business. 

Why Narborough? We began our humbling  beginnings in Enderby and after nearly three years had outgrown our small shop. Spending many months searching for new premises - 49 Leicester Road came to the rental market and we thought it the perfect size and location to take the next step and showcase our wares in larger surroundings.

Enderby is our home village, where we bought our family home from the very same Estate Agents branch that was Myrtle’s Home Furnishings first home and again we stepped into a former Estate Agents.

Myrtle's Home Furnishings' ambition is to offer high quality products at the very best value and customer service.  Whether large or small pieces, classic. contemporary or weird and wonderful a visit to the shop is a must to fully appreciate what is on offer.

Supported by British & International companies gives us confidence in what we do to provide a great selection of home furniture, furnishings & gifts.

Myrtle's Home fragrance range: After spending over a year developing our homes scent ranges, whilst using the highest of quality wax & fragrances that are vegan friendly & cruelty free, to launching our home fragrance products which is Mertie's & Gertie's No Nonscents brand, full of fragrance without the nonsense that we pride ourselves in offering an in store candle refill service with a discount off your next purchase.  All are handcrafted and hand poured by ourselves in Leicestershire. 

We are proud to support sustainability where we can and all our home furnishings are sourced from some of the best suppliers in the market, looking at sustainability before each product is chosen.
